Since the kickoff I've received a lot of positive feedback on NewBeckley.com.  Along with all of the words of encouragement and vows of support, I've also received feedback asking for more on my plan, my story and what qualifies me to be mayor.  As a result of your feedback we are currently updating NewBeckley.com to include the answers to all of those questions.

As I've said many times before, this campaign is about you, and the fact that the things you say really matter.  So the goal of this campaign, beyond the obvious goal of winning, has been to come up with creative ways to get the community involved.  I developed and designed NewBeckley.com to be an example of how I will use technology to begin providing a more open and accessible city government, one that removes barriers and provides more opportunity for civic engagement.  The future of Beckley will depend on our ability to work together and embrace new ideas.

As questions on specific issues (jobs, crime etc.) arise during the campaign, I will respond to those questions with you directly, as well as share my reponses through my blog or video response here on NewBeckley.com.  Another great way to learn more about me and where I stand on important issues is to host a town hall style meeting in your neighborhood or coffee with friends and relatives in your home.

I'm also adding an "About Me" page to NewBeckley.com.  In response to your feedback this page will give you a better idea of who I am as well as provide detailed information on my experience.  We update NewBeckley.com regularly, however, the best way to get more information is to ask questions.

It is my intention to provide the leadership necessary to improve our quality of life and bring true economic development and good paying jobs to Beckley.  I hope you join me in this effort to develop new and exciting ideas to make our city an even better place to live for all of us.  I look forward to working with you and thanks again for your support.
