Turning talent into jobs was the subject of discussion during a lunch meeting I had a on Wednesday with Sally Barton, Executive Director of the Tamarack Foundation.  We discussed the Foundation's success and the enormous impact our artisans have on West Virginia's economy and how closely it relates with my plans to begin turning talent into jobs to stimulate and diversify Beckley's economy.

The following links will give you more insight on the work and accomplishments of the Tamarack Foundation as well as a study conducted Marshall University's Center for Business and Economic Research that confirms what national studies show >> Creative communities are leading the growth of today's knowledge-based economy.
