I believe the key to restoring life to downtown Beckley is dependent on us promoting arts and culture, not government buildings and parking lots. Creativity, culture and the arts improve the quaility of all our lives, so the strategy should be to help more people discover and develop their talents and to use those talents to build a dynamic and vibrant downtown providing entertainment alongside opportunity.
